This course is ideal for creative, design-minded learners from Creative iMedia or similar digital backgrounds who want to develop practical skills in digital application and software design.
The course is divided into 5 topic areas; 2 external assessed examinations and 3 internal non exam assessment (NEA) coursework units.
· F160 – Fundamentals of Application Development (Exam)
Explore how software is planned, designed, and managed — from user needs and HCI principles to project lifecycles and industry roles.
· F161 – Developing Application Software (Exam)
Understand how applications run across platforms and devices. Study app deployment, maintenance, and security considerations.
· F162 – Designing and Communicating UX/UI Solutions (Coursework)
Create professional design documentation and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD. Develop communication and client-interaction skills.
